i have a ragdoll too but i've never really had a problem with her not eating, so i don't think this is normal. there are a few things i can think of. maybe you're not feeding him the right kind of food (ie: he doesn't need kitten food anymore). or, if you've been feeding him wet food as well as dry food, that can affect their appetite. i've noticed that they like the wet food much better so they'll stop eating the dry food until you give them wet food again... it's happened to me before with another cat lol. i think dry food is better for them though. remember if you change their food, start with little bits at a time because just feeding them a new brand of food one day can make them sick. if it doesn't start eating again, you should take it to the vet in case something is wrong with it. good luck with your kitty!

I would get her checked for Renal disease tho. It's common to the breed and it sounds like she needs to eat.

I would definitely give him a better diet of Science food though and as we grow our cats do too and want better food.

It's NOT common for the breed to stop eating for 5 days. No cat does this unless there is a problem. And I will digress with your mother in law.

He wants variety and NEEDS it. get a high quality food for him.
