Is a Ragdoll Cat Suitable to Enter a Home With a Young Toddler?

March 24th, 2010

I have a 1 year old son and in the near future wanted a cat. The breed i was considering was a ragdoll but are they a suitable pet with my son? I dont want the kitten or my son to get hurt. Obviously.

Do cats and young children go together?

Yes, cats and younger children can go together if you have a friendly and patient cat. I used to have 2 ragdolls, one was a boy, his name was Rohan and the other was a girl her name was Lillian.
I found Lillian to be much more friendly with my son Jacob than Rohan was but they were both nice. I recomend a female ragdoll that is at least 3 years old. Kittens or young cats tend to bite and be impatient.
    Hope I helped! :)
