Go to the vet so it can be treated properly. Do not use store products…very harmful, esp for kittens!

He’s a little young for adult flea medication – even the safe stuff from vets is only for use on animals from 8 weeks of age. However, you can buy the spray version of Frontline from a vets, which is even safe for use on kittens from 2 days of age, and it’s very effective.

Just don’t use anything from a pet store. Apart from the fact that their flea products say not to use on animals under TWELVE weeks of age, stores aren’t licensed to carry the chemicals suitable for flea control, so their stuff is pointless.

You cannot use ANY kind of flea treatment until they are at least 12 weeks old. Ask any vet, read any instructions and that is what it will say.
For some instant relief, give her a lukewarm bath with baby shampoo, and keep it far away from her eyes.
Wait until she is old enough, than take her to a vet’s to get a topical flea treatment.
Everything on the shelves is toxic and more than half of it doesn’t work anyway.

Ok. If your pets are indoor pets, thats the best so that you won’t have to do anything with the outside.

We had the same problem with the house. And what you can do if buy Mortein Flea Bombs. You set on off in every room, leave the house for three hours. (Cover all fish tanks, close all windows, ect) Take your kitten to a friends or something. And then when your kitten is 2 months old they are allowed to use the advantage, frontline ect. You can also buy this flea repelant stuff, called Exelpet Fleaban. You can spray it on their pet bed and such. Which can be found at your Local Coles, when I went there today I saw one spray bottle left.

Also buy a flea comb (Make sure its a metal one, the plastic do jack, and a waste of money) You can just de-flea him every now and again while they he is under 2 months. If you want a product to use, you should call your vet and ask what your options are, that are friendly to kittens.

    Good luck!
(PS. He would be such a beautiful kitten!!)

He is too young for that but meanwhile your house will become infected. Can you take him to the vet so that they can treat him with something or give him a flea dip? I think those drops are for 8 or 9 weeks and up.
