So I Have a 1 Yr Old Shiba Inu Dog and I Just Adopted a 1 Yr Old Ragdoll Cat?

the dog is really curious and really wants to play and gets really happy to see the cat but the cat will get really tense and growl at the dog.. however whenever they get close they sniff eachother but the cat growls if the dog gets too close. but they seem to be getting closer and closer without the cat growling.. will they be friends?
also the ragdoll cat was a stray.

closely watch the dog make sure he doesn’t bit ethe cat or anything or the cat scratches the dog either. just watch them closely and they could be friends. i have a dog and a cat that are really good friends they play fetch (the cat only chases the ball) and they go on walks together (cat off the leash) and they are really cute together!
