My Cat vs Friend's Dog Issssueeeee?

My friend has a baby boston terrier, and I am getting a ragdoll kitten. One of the leading causes of eye injury to that breed of dog is cat scratches, so my friend doesnt want the kitten around it if it’s not declawed, but ragdolls mostly lack that fight instinct & i’m harness training so i absolutely refuse to declaw him (besides, if he’s not mean to ppl w his claws, i find no reason at all to declaw him… sadface). anywho, any advice for letting them interact?
