Does My Cat Look Like a Ragdoll?
We found a little, gray, flea infested kitten outside about 5 years ago. We took her in, bathed her (turns out she was white!!!!!), treated the fleas and kept her. She was all white with a gray tail and gray and cream spot on her head. As she got older, the gray darkened. Around 2 years old, she was no longer just white. She now had very light gray patches on her body. She kept getting darker and darker and now that she’s 5, she’s got medium gray and light cream patches along most of her torso, dark gray tail and that spot on her head. She has gorgeous ice blue eyes. Her fur is long, soft and doesn’t mat. She’s very amiable and let’s our dogs play with her however they want. She’s very easy-going, cuddly and friendly.
I’ll post pictures ASAP… Y!A never let’s me in my post… I have to add details. One sec. Please don’t answer without the pics!
STILL trying to get some links on here… this pisses me off so much! Anybody else have this problem?

FINALLY! The one where she’s with the other cat, we figured she’s about 16 months old.
The one where she’s playing with the other dog, she’s about a year old. Notice how white she still is!
The one where she’s on the chair is about three years old… she’s starting to get her markings in.
The others are all from tonight, 5 years old.
OH. And her fur is usually longer and less choppy-looking. My family shaved her down because she keeps having hairball issues.
We actually brush her twice a day because she enjoys it so much… which is why we resorted to shaving her. Her stomach doesn’t do well on the hairball formula cat foods so our vet told us to shave her.
Also, our next door neighbors are notorious for purchasing purebred cats (Siamese, Bengal, Persian, Tonkinese and they have a Ragdoll too among other cats) and keeping them outside, intact, and have them breeding like crazy. We suspect she was actually theirs… but we kept her because of how thin, gross and flea infested she was… like their other cats. Animal Control doesn’t do **** where I live because it’s farming country.
So I suppose she could just be half one breed and half another.
How do they get these cats? I live in puppymill/BYB central… cats AND dogs are bred like crazy. At any point I can pick up my newspaper and find a page of pets classifieds offering all sorts of "designer pets" and purebred. It makes me feel sick… ![]()
