I am adopting a year old Ragdoll cat. However, I am worried about my drawf hamster.

Is it still possible to train the cat not to harm the hamster at the age of 1 or was it too late?
I am using Habitrail Safari with all those tubes that goes up into the sky. Will the cat be able to get the hamster through that?
