Sally would be cute because shes a rag doll (the toy kind. From the movie the Nightmare Before Christmas.) I like to pick names from books or movies, and learn the cats personality before I name a cat. I have 2 cats, Buzz and Miyu, my dad named Buzz because Buzz is simple, its a good name because Buzz purrs loud and its like hes "buzzing." And Miyu I came up with, Miyu means something along the lines of beautiful in Japanese so I was like well that sounds good because shes really pretty, and Miyu sounds like a meow, because its pronounced me you and when she meows it sounds like me-you me-you.

In other cultures they commonly name animals based on onomatopoeias (words that describe sounds like meow, crash, boom, snap.) Also its a good idea to pick words with only one or 2 syllables, its easier for a cat to learn to come to.

I looked at names looking at lists and I picked out ones I liked and then narrowed it down to the best names, and finally the single best befitting name for my cat. Google cat names or "female cat names" you will find sites like this one http://petrix.com/catnames/
