Why Is My Cat Losing Color on His Ears?
June 25th, 2010
Coincidentally, he is experiencing hip or leg pain. He vomits about twice a week. I have not changed his diet. He has not lost weight. He is a two-year-old full breed Ragdoll. Strictly indoor cat. His dark brown (seal) ears have fur, but the middle of his ears are experiencing color loss. Now the color is a light brown and beige color. The very tips are still seal. Is there a connection between the fading color of his ears and the leg/hip pain?

Have you taken him to the vet for his hip/leg pain and vomiting? The vet should be able to tell you if there is a connection with his coloring change.
My baby has the same thing…. his “points” were very dark. The he moulted and shed a lot of hair (middle of summer). But now his points are being and not dark chocolate brown.
He is otherwise healthy and happy and eating etc. The vet couldnt find anything wrong, No fleas or diseases.
Any help most welcomed
